Welcome to iVersity's Artificial Intelligence lab.  Our founding members have been interested in Artificial Intelligence, or AI, for many years and are excited to be taking a firsthand process in the development of it.

A.I. is quickly moving to the forefront of many industries and programs, from financial and educational institutions, to military applications. iVersity has chosen to focus primarily on the educational aspects of A.I., but will not limit areas of research to such.

Some areas of application-level A.I. that are currently being focused on, and improving the development and performance of include:

• NLP (Natural Language Processing)
• KBA (Knowledge Base Aquisition), dynamic and static
• Reasoning algorithms
• TTS (Text to Speech) and Speech Recognition

To accomplish this, iVersity is working to integrate our solutions with many open source technologies, forming a comprehensive, unified environment for artificial intelligence.

Knowledge Base Aquisition 

For KBA to occur on an efficient scale, iVersity A.I. has been designed to also operate as part of a collective, and is persistant across several popular internet-based platforms. As part of this, iVersity A.I. is being designed to make use of large, existing repositories of information such as Google, Youtube, or Wikipedia. In this manner, data for use in knowledge base processing can be aquired consistently from a growing source, with little effort.

Text to Speech and Speech Recognition

Using the latest in Microsoft Speech Technology, iVersity is integrating methods of communications which will surely play a crucial role in the development of artificial intelligence. For conversation tools to begin to take shape in A.I., these two technologies must be utilized, as they are the important bridges to enable a more sensible means of communications with the system.
