iVersity is a limited liability company based out of Kansas City, MO, and is a leader in virtual environment simulation, artificial intelligence systems, and biofeedback application solutions.

The company has a focus in educational and emergent technologies, which encompass a variety of its core areas of development. iVersity also provides development in custom web and desktop/server applications, as well as a full range of consulting services.

iVersity Corporate Timeline

  • July 2006 – iVersity was formed and began developing a virtual private island, Symbion in contract with an anonymous Real Estate mogul, development took approximately 6 months resulting in a sophisticated blend of virtual offices, shopping areas, and commercial and residential housing. iVersity eventually bought out the contract and decided to make Symbion its permanent, virtual home. It is at this time iVersity started exploring the possibilities of virtual environments, and implemented Learning Management Systems,  Artificial Intelligence, and biometric development.


  • Spring 2007-  iVersity began negotiations to design and build GeoWorlds for UMKC, work began April, completing the majority of its first phase, TerraWorld, around April 2008. The project is ongoing, and will begin its second and final phase, WaterWorld shortly. GeoWorlds is a geosciences simulator which combines real-time data, Learning Management Systems, and ecological artificial life algorithms the create an environment for students to learn about our changing life and planet.


  • Fall 2007 -  iVersity began customizing its artificial intelligence learning platform as virtual avatars to be used by Bryan Carter at UCMO, the project was a success, and the avatars now have a permanent home at Virtual Harlem, the private island for the UCMO project. This was an important test of the viability of education based virtual avatars in these environments, and due to its success, iVersity is currently working towards full commercialization its it various, related software platforms.


  • Dec 1st 2008iVersity officially launched EduGrid , a social network and virtual education platform aimed at bridging the divide in education worldwide, and offer valuable resources to both virtual educators and students. EduGrid will also eventually offer fully hosted Learning Management Systems and custom simulator software applications.


Throughout its existence, iVersity has spent a great deal of time heavily engaged in deep-stealth research and development, which it finds to be crucial in properly analyzing the future needs of technology in virtual environments, and offering compelling products and services to quickly meet these needs.
